MY COLLEGE DAYS

I Utkarsh Kumar have done graduation with B.tech at Ghaziabad, U.P. from computer science and engineering. My college days were really memorable days of my life and it would be really hard to forget it. My college was situated far from the city so the environment was neat and clean with very low pollution level. The college was spread in a large area with lots of greenery all around. Overall it was a nice environment for both studies and enjoyment. Regarding class timings we had classes right from morning 9 ‘o’ clock to 5 ‘o’ clock in the evening. Although we rarely attended all lectures. After attending the classes from morning to evening we rarely had energy to play some sport or any other thing of that sort. We use to have a lot of assignments to do but I rarely did any assignments seriously and just copied them from topper students or even gave it to juniors to copy it.

Our main time pass was playing pc games single player and multiplayer on LAN and then playing card quiet a few times with friends in hostel. I use to enjoy these activities a lot. Around 8 to 9 we used to take dinner and then roam in the campus and sit on the campus uphill and chat usually our best time pass was chatting and that is what l like most. After 10 ‘o’ clock in the night we had a daily session of ‘chitrahar’ is what we called it in which we watch video song of Hindi and English movies and private albums and made funny comments on them for an hour or two. Now we felt hungry as the food in the mess was very bad and it hardly satisfied our hunger so at night just outside our hostel we had a ‘khokha’ (local term for a sort of small restaurant) we used to have some parathas and maggi come back Now what to do so we looked for some English movie in the pc and start watching it by the time it got over it was around 4 to 5 ‘o’ clock usually now we had some discussion regarding current affair and issues and we really took that discussion seriously and tease the other person if the first one prove him wrong. Soon the hunger strikes back in our stomach and it becomes hard to sleep if the stomach is empty so we had no choice but to wait for the breakfast at 8 ‘o’ clock in morning after that around 5 we use to get outside the hostel with our digit cam and use to take photograph of sunrise then have breakfast and go to sleep around 9.00 a.m. to get ready for the next day.

MY COLLEGE FRIENDS

I had a really nice friend circle in the college. They all were my true friends in the way that everyone was ready to help each other no matter what the situation is or the problem is. We altogether had a lot of fun and enjoyment which will always be a part of my good memories in my life.

We were a group of around eleven-twelve boys. All with a great mind and big heart. We mostly were hostler and were neighbors and belonged to the same branch i.e. computer science. In our regular schedule we never studied but during the exams we were on fire. Although we all had different calibers and intelligence level but no one was less than the other in his own way. We all belonged from different city of Uttar Pradesh and quiet a few times we had healthy fights among as because of that but we enjoyed it a lot.

As for my friends there was a guy named Shashank very intelligent and understandable person we used to call him scanner because of his grasping capability. He had a unique habit of making his cloths dirty while having food. The other one was Utkarsh (don’t confuse with me he had the same name) this guy had a great talent of commenting on others and making other person laugh. He the person who could help his friends to any extent and never look back on it. He was too good in math! Then there was Sanuj, many a time he used to comment on himself and make other person laugh. He had a sophisticated mind that full of enjoyment and experiments and great friendly attitude. He had a nice height and fair complexion that made him look good although he was very thin. There was Shishir the man of morals, emotions and hard work. Although he was very aggressive he had a great common sense. He a dominating loud voice which helped him to overpower anybody, Now about Sharabh a mega pack of entertainment and sometimes treat, as you never when he can make fun of you. He had a dominating personality and great academic & social mind. Even though we had a bit short height, he was good looking. Then Kunal a cute nice looking boy who we always used to ease on that on that He had a great memory and most simple way of solving the problems. Then there was Rakesh a bit odd a feel when I call his name as we use to call him Bihari as he was originally from Bihar. He had great aptitude mind and very responsible person and caring too. He was a great player of card games like 29, lakdri, court piece and hearts and was a big cheater too in these games. The last but not the least these was a creature named Dadhichi he was a quiet philosophical person we had a unique view toward very other thing. He was a very emotional person.

This was all about my friend so unique in themselves that it would really impossible to find such friends again in this life.

My journey of eight mgpa

After completing the first mgpa the next was three days later, this time I was a bit relaxed as the problem in first mgpa was quiet simple. This mgpa was on dsal. As obvious we were expecting this mgpa to be very simple too. So I was a bit relaxed as we had covered topics on Stacks and Queues. On the date I had prepared stack and queue, but somehow had not covered circular queue. Eventually day before I read in my module book that the code we write are crosschecked the concerned authority so if we are not implementing the code in correct way regardless of software giving it right ,it will be considered wrong. The day came I got the problem it was on queue I solved it and did dry run on it for the first sample input the output was coming correctly so I executed the code in the lab I got the correct output for the first sample input

And now I tried it for the second sample Input it gave the output wrong then I noticed that the problem was actually of circular queue it was already forty minutes past and I had just twenty minutes left for it I got very nervous my mind stopped working I tried with few changes few times. I started panicking and my mind fully stopped working as the time passed. So finally the time got over and I was not able to do the problem. After the paper we had the meeting with corresponding teachers they asked what was they told that we just have to get the answer right no matter how we get it. I felt sad of missing it although only seven students had cleared it. I kept practicing the problems although that zeal was lacking that I had before. The break was almost of one week. I tried to study but I had lost that pace. In the third mgpa the easy but was of better level than the first one during I wrote the code well as according to me it was correct but on computer it gave error but this time I was a bit prepared to it I kept my cool I was in on hurry but still I felt that can’t overcome my nervousness which stop my mind from working properly I tried and tried till got the it was almost complete but then just I was looking at the code “5 minutes left” warning appeared on the screen I tried once more and it got correct I submitted it and it got all Xs I understood that it was a printing mistake so removed and type submit and just then I was about to hit enter the time over message came on the screen and I had nothing left but to leave the lab. I was now broken felt like I was what to do.....(continued..)

My first mgpa

Hello, now I am going to tell u about my story about my story of how I managed to clear four mgpa in my fpgdst course but at first I should tell you that what mgpa is, the mgpa is the abbreviated name for Machine Graded Programming Test. In my first module we have a subject OPAD that covers Object Oriented Programming in Java, Data Structures and Algorithms so we have ten mgpas that are the basically programming tests that are held and we have to clear four out of ten (We have ten mgpa five on oopj and five on dsal alternately) as a necessary part to clear the module. So the first mgpa was on 21st of August. It was on Oopj as it was our first mgpa we had no idea about it’s standard as obviously I was very scared although I m a computer science engineer and I had studied java in my last semester of my engineering but you the extend to which the practical are implemented in graduation. So I started working hard for it, as a part of our exercise we are provided with self assignments to solve just for our practice therefore I kept solving them.

Finally that date came I was excited and nervous at the sane movement and a lot of questions were arising in my mind i.e. what type of problem will come? Whether I would be able to solve it or not? If I can avoid any silly mistake that I usually do? At last I got the problem. It was too simple I thanked god for it I wrote the code and managed to complete the code very quickly, then I again and again checked the code it was working fine. After the completion of an hour we were asked to go to the lab to implement that code. In lab typed the code without even looking into the paper, then I compiled it, it had few syntax error I corrected it and it got successfully compile it but during execution it was not giving the desired output. i.e. it had some logical error I looked into the code slowly and carefully and I noticed my silly mistake that I had made, at once I corrected it and executed it once more thanks to god it was running correctly and got all Ys (I didn’t tell you about the Ys this is the output provided by the software i.e. for checking of the code developed the institution had developed software called PARIKSHAK, this software has set of inputs for the corresponding output so the inputs are redirected to the code made and checked if the output is matches. for every matching you are rewarded Y and N if not. If you get all Ys your program is correct.) So my program was correct and cleared my first mgpa. I was happy about clearing my first mgpa and felt confident. Now it was the time for the next to prepare for…..

Cricket and politics

Cricket and politics, are like heads and tails in India. Some times politics wins, some times cricket wins. Though politics wants desperately to be the same two sides of the coin, it goes to the credit of the non- playing politicos, controlling the Board of Cricket Control India, that they have been able to maintain their side of the toss up. So on any given Sunday, it's either talking cricket or playing politics.
Indians are sensitive to both. Unlike the English, from whom we inherited, these subtle sensibilities, of playing the gentle in-cutter with a straight bat and understanding the middle ground between the left of center, right of center political approach. That's the Indian spirit. To live, laugh, play, fight, and then forget.
Leather and willow fighting for supremacy, as eleven, 22 hands go up together shouting howzzat! To become an international cricketer is a dream that all young Indian men nurture at some point in their life. Some ape Kapil's bowling, some perfect Sachin's front-foot drive, still others dive like Rhodes on rock hard surfaces -- bruising elbows and knees to the cheer of team mates. Cricket matches be it between city clubs, or two cricket playing nations, are keenly discussed, final word always reserved for the expert, who most of the times is a veteran of the game, much experienced, in his understanding and choice of words.
Indian politics is full of veterans -- past masters at playing one against the other, disrupting the middle order, sledging with impunity, tampering the seam, bribing the third umpire, and always aiming at the opponent's balls instead of the bails. Politics is a serious cup of tea here, caste and religion, add sugar and spice to the ever brewing cauldron. Politicians are always dressed in white. Politics is played day and night. Eyes focused as if facing an Andy Roberts in-swinger, politicians can be seen swaggering between aisles of parliament, shouting, demanding, questioning the basic amenities which are always lacking.

Every session of parliament throws in a new player, who bats, bowls and fields for the treasury benches, forward defense of the finance bill or back foot late cut of the amendment, has nothing to do with the real numbers game being played on the floor of the house. Politicians by virtue of their stamina to play politics have steam-rolled into cricketing boards. These boards have become grooming grounds for budding politicians; their knowledge of the game is limited to endorsement cuts, and cable television rights. Players become nine pins, favorites rule the roost. Talking cricket and playing politics pays. Wish it was the other way round. Who cares? It's just another manic Monday. Wish it was Sunday. Playing cricket and having a fun day.

My Roompartner in NCST.....

Hi to all......

I am writing this blog on my room partner in NCST. I have got Room no- F5 in NCST. I knew before I came to NCST that I have to share my room with someone else. I always wanted that my room partner should be of my type in nature. Soon I got to know I have to share my room with a boy named Arun Parmar.

Arun is basically from Harayana but he lives in Delhi. He has done BA (Maths.) PGDAV college of Delhi university. After his graduation he also worked in coaching center as Maths teacher. As he has done graduation from maths that's why his maths subject is very strong.

We are in NCST for improving our knowledge in computer languages like java , C and other computer skills. What I am trying to tell that one who is in NCST should have at least little knowledge in computer languages but He is completely new in computers. He don't knew C of computers before he came to NCST. He was facing very much problem in the beginning of our course but he works very hard for overcoming his problems. When ever he feel any doubt in java he comes to me without any hesitation and I help him up to my level means What I can do for him...

Whenever I think about him as a room partner he is as what I want as a room partner. He is very good boy. He believes smile and make smile others. What I like about him he know how to be cool, calm and happy in any situation. I know he does not feel comfortable in NCST just because he is new in computers

Sixty Years of India....where are we going...?

I strongly feel that a few of high flying self proclaimed ambassadors of India, glorifying soon would be Superpower India, who has not been able to answer a common man’s question why Indian State even 60 years after independence has miserably failed to provide economic security, equal land distribution, corruption free environment without victimization and suppression, decentralization of powers to people at village levels, making poor stake-holders in economic development and provided them with food, shelter, employment, self respect and oppression free existence. Question is how India can think of becoming a super power when 75%of 1.1 billion citizens live on less than Rs 80 a day, 30% live on less than Rs 40 a day, 50% children get no school education; 25% of victims of commercial sexual exploitation are below 18, 1.2 million children under the age of 5 die of malnutrition every year; 90 per cent of working children live in rural India, where majority of population don’t have access to safe drinking water, proper sanitation, qualified health services, with ever increasing threat of malnutrition, tuberculosis, rabies, water bourn diseases and malaria, where majority of population suffer from anemia, worm infestation and dental diseases leading to increase mortality and morbidity. Nations development can’t be judged by growth rate, mobile phones, cars or information technology but is judged from how majority of population live, prevalence of poverty, law and order, availability of safe drinking water, sanitation, public transport, corruption and infrastructure, which show progressive deterioration, is certainly not the reason for celebrations but real brain storm thinking, where we are heading for. I strongly feel that if "inclusive India", instead of being a term of abuse, name-calling and contention of a few high flying power brokers, henceforth becomes the top priority of media and all political parties, the 60th birthday celebrations would have more than achieved their purpose.

Movies are Fashion

Watching DVD filmmaker commentaries can be an insightful experience. The good ones will always leave you more knowledgeable about a particular filmmaker's process, craft and philosophy. Some commentaries are so accomplished that they almost become an artform unto themselves.

My favorite commentary is by director David Fincher and his star Brad Pitt for the special edition DVD of the modern classic film "Seven". I remember being utterly floored by the flow of their report together and by the simultaneously analytical and anecdotal nature of their insightful conversation. One particular statement Fincher made in this commentary truly stood out. It is the type of comment you never forget, because it is as truthful as can be and yet somehow you managed never to think of it before.

"Seven" is one of those films that broke new stylistic ground and set lasting trends for a number of films that were to come out afterwards. I remember how for years many other thrillers tried to replicate the style of its title sequence, the dreary lighting and muted color palette... I believe Fincher was discussing the unique look of the movie, which cinematographer Darius Khondji helped create, when he simply observed that "movies are fashion". In films, one trend gets replaced by another, which in turn is put out of circulation by the next trend.

Without words.....

Can we Imagine a world in which there are no worlds...... A speechless world. How difficult will be living there. The only thinking of it seems like a hell. The picture appears in mind as no one is talking to others.Every person is totally speechless.Since there are no words so the voice doesn't have any meaning. The voice can be used to any only because if there are no words then how can enjoyment take place ? Mostly we laugh on the talks of our surrounding people while in gathering but without words even laughing is not so easy .Think a social gathering in which no one is talking to each other.Every one wants to express their feelings but they are not able to do so they trying to convey their towards many thing by body language and signs.Imagining this scenes would be really though.
If words will not be there then how will one would judge the attitude of any people. Generally we predict any one's nature, behaviour, attitude etc by predict anyone 's nature, behaviour, attitude etc by talking with his or her but without words how come is it possible. How will we enjoy funny talking with Friends how will we enjoy funny talking with Friends how will we express our love towards our beloved ones.It will be quite difficult to express it without words for him and will not be easy for him to understand too.Imagine a situation in which a person is injured and just in any serious accident and no one is there to help, then how he will call to anyone to save his life because if words are not there then he can't talk on cellphone too, he can't type even a message because words are not there .
Without words we can not learn any thing how will be the improve our knowledge or our personality. There will not be schools colleges or any learning institution.Ther will be no difference

My city Lucknow

hi....... I utkarsh resident of Lucknow wanna share the importance and greanace of my city lucknow although i dont live in lucknow now it was great pleasure growing in lucknow As from the informaton Lucknow city is popularly known as the 'the city of Nawabs'. Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, was founded by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula. In the olden times, it served as the capital of the nawabs of Awadh and it is one of the reasons why it is also called as the city of the Nawabs. The era of the Nawabs bestowed Lucknow with the courteous culture as well as mouthwatering delicacies for which it is famous today.
Even after witnessing tremendous modernization, Lucknow has managed to retain its age-old charm and glory. The warmth, the hospitality and the formality of the city have still not been lost. The era of the nawabs also gifted Lucknow with the literature, music, dance and arts and crafts that draw tourists here. Infact, it was in the streets of the city only that Tabla and Sitar were born. Lucknow tourism brings one closer to the glorious days city, through a visit to its numerous monuments and ruins.
The city of Lucknow has a magical charm surrounding it. Be it its delicious cuisine or its heart melting culture, the city leaves an everlasting impression on its visitors. It is one of the few places where one can still find people saying 'aap', 'janab', 'pehle aap', etc. Even though flats have replaces Nawabi mansions, the city is still as charismatic as before.
Lucknow is the most populous state of India.Lucknow is also the administrative headquarters of Lucknow District and Lucknow Division. Located in what was historically known as the Awadh region, Lucknow has always been a multicultural city. Courtly manners, beautiful gardens, poetry, music, and fine cuisine patronized by the Nawabs are well known among Indians and students of South Asian culture and history. It is also known as the Golden City of the East, Shiraz-i-Hind and The Constantinople of India.
Today, Lucknow is a vibrant city that is witnessing an economic boom and is among the top ten fastest growing non-metropolitan cities of India. The unique combination of its cultured grace and newly acquired pace is its most promising feature that augurs well for the future.
